Mohammad, you “uncompromising” journalist is not even aware that if there is ANYONE that the government of IRan fears and dreads are the people of Sistan o Baluchestan … and that is ZAB”O”L, pronounced like Zaaboll, not “Zobal!” (Zobal, means garbage!).

You are seem to be slightly blinded with your anti-imperialist zeal … you dismiss Iranian journalists, writers, artists, and then suddenly your champion of reporting becomes Fisk?!

You mean Zabol? Zabol is NOT a province of Afghanistan!
Zabol is the shiite part of a province that used to be sistan o baluchestan, it is now the center of teh province of Sistan!

Man, where did all these iranologists emerge from?!

They read a book and an article and they are all suddenly so expert in all matters …

huh, I am beginning to see how phony all that pro-palestine chest beatings are now …

Just a correction. It is not Zobal, it is Zabol. And there is a Zabol in Iran. It is next to Pakistan, not Afghanistan.

Uh, Mr. Fisk…Zobal Province is part of Afghanistan, not Iran. It is also unlikely that iran would bring in Basij from Sistan&Baluchistan given the semi-restive conditions there against the Iranian centre.

Still doubting the numbers in the face of facts? Ok so you saw that the poor and working class support Ahmedinejad. What percentage of Iran’s population do you think is of that economic class? In fact, Ahmedinejad’s support among the poor increases even higher among the poor outside of Tehran and Isfahan.

But still a bit better article. The images in Western audiences have been reaffirmed. The fires have been further enflamed. But nice to see you exercise some minor journalistic skill and integrity.
