The Attack on Gaza was planned to be a holocaust, as Matan Vinai, the then Israeli deputy defence minister stated in a radio interview on army radio. (‘Israel Minister Warns of Palestinian Holocaust’, Guardian 29th Feb 2008). He actually used the Hebrew word, ‘shoah’, a word normally reserved for the Jewish Holocaust in Nazi Germany. As in the Jewish Holocaust, Palestinians will die of disease, malnutian and lack of medical care- obviously a known and intential consequence of the destruction of the life giving infrastructure and the severe blocade of material for reconstruction, food and medical supplies.
