Hey David,
You didn't state it, but I assume you're talking about Shaher Sa’ad. I have to admit, I don't know the man enough to comment specifically. I can say this: Had it been true that such a big number of Palestinians don't support the boycott- enough to go to the press with it- it would have been our duty to sit down with them and discuss the situation (this would have been done, most likely, through PACBI, anyway) and further plan our tactics and strategies, in accordance with their wishes.

Isn't it a fabulous image?! Got it off of here: http://www.pflp.ps/english/
You may find it interesting.

That column... reminds me of Fox news- if it wasn't so scary it be magnificent satire. Sometimes I get a whiff of The Onion ;)

This guy is a chameleon and appears to bend with the wind. I wrote to all candidates for a post within my Union two years ago asking about boycotting Israeli goods. To my dismay one candidate (she won) said the head of the Palestinian TU's had spoken against boycotts, so why was I supporting it? Now here he is at it again. I wrote to Stop the Wall who pointed out they had signed the call for BDS.

Get rid of him guys, and find someone who has courage, loves his country and knows the meaning of the word "focus" and "supportive".

Tali,

Thanks for the corrective and I love the campaign poster. I was just laughing at something ridiculous in the Jewish Chronicle today: column entitled -- I kid you not -- "How Jewish is [insert banker or politician]. Is Jewishness a metric now? And if so, who decides the parametres and indices? I think its quite telling. I can't imagine a "How Christian is ..[insert public figure]" that bills itself seriously. It's not at all obviously tongue-in-cheek.

Each evaluated public figure gets a percentage result. According to them, Rahm Emmanuel at 93% Jewish is 3 percentage points less Jewish than banker and lobbyist Victor Blank, who in turn is 92% more Jewish than the self-declared Christian (albeit zionist) Sarah Palin... Jon Stewart (born Liebowitz) is in there as well.

Who needs satire with columns like this? [holds more snarky comments in check about zionism index]
