These unfortunately are not challenged because it seems as though no one really knows how to respond. And of course those who respond just end up falling into a silenced abyss.

So thank you for this most excellent piece exposing the sort of absurdity that plagues the mainstream analysis we’re fed (from certain Pakistanis themselves) regarding Pakistan.

Since the United States abandoned the region, the entire educational infra-structure changed. The authour though is correct in analysis that Madaris took over the role of educating the under dogs but they cannot teach Islam wide off the mark. Students will find out if they teach incorrect. The whole trouble is the continuing drift in understanding Islam by the west and the break down of trust between the Muslims of Pakistan, Palestine, Kashmir and the like Muslim nations. Until trust is re-established, things are likely to remain muddled and possibly grow worse.
