Pakistan: A new wave of attacks?

This is a video of my appearance on Al Jazeera’s Inside Story. For context, I’d encourage viewers to read my articles in Political Insight and Le Monde Diplomatique.
The Pakistani Taliban have claimed responsibility for an attack on the US consulate in Peshawar on Monday. Is Pakistan paying the price for battles waged by the United States in the region?

fortunate to see you on camera for first time. You were looking great mA. face the camera dude, face the camera…good points.
Fantastic, Idrees.
You scrub up well, don’t you? :)
AA. Yes. Good points and rejoinders. Although my sources say about 85% of Afghanistan is run by the Taliban, and tha would be difficult without a majority of sympathisers? Allah knows best.
Haq
Thanks. Yes, at most times almost of 70% of Afghanistan is outside the control of the Karzai government. The Taliban even control the two provinces bordering Kabul. But this discussion was about Pakistan, not Afghanistan.
Excellent contribution by Idrees Ahmed!

Idrees Ahmad made good points and looks good. The neocon looks like a zombie undead out for human flesh. Imtiaz Alam is an old enemy of Islam, looks like all the beer and whisky he has consumed has taken up permanent residence of his jowls. Looks like a mini-me of Jabba-the-Hutt.
Ed, you rock dude! stand by your word. It is indeed a political issue not military and can not be resolved with the use of power.
