Arundhati Roy: ‘Every day the anger increases’

October 27th, 2010 § 1 Comment

Further to Arundhati Roy’s statement yesterday about the threat of her possible arrest for challenging India’s claim on Kashmir, here she is on today’s Democracy Now! where she describes unarmed crowds of Kashmiris throwing stones at Indian occupation forces, and the lack of coverage the occupation of Kashmir recieves in world news media. If you haven’t already, be sure to also read Pankaj Mishra’s excellent piece in the Guardian titled “Why Silence Over Kashmir Speaks Volumes” and Tariq Ali’s “Not Crushed, Merely Ignored” in the London Review of Books.
