This excellent documentary produced by the Dutch VPROInternational is a must see. It presents a picture of the Afghan conflict with the kind of nuance you are unlikely to find on British or American TV.

Thank you for posting this here, it’s rare to get such a long and substantial look into the Taliban inside Afghanistan like that, speaking amongst themselves. Very interesting.

That’s actually Ahmed Rashid, a shill for Western intelligence and military agencies. He’s notorious for his alarmist reportage and hawkish views. I wouldn’t give too much credence to what he says. He also conflates the Taliban with the foreign Jihadis who have distinctly different goals.
