  1. Totally preposterous.
    Why would a Secret Service agent draw a weapon on a postal clerk simply because he wanted to leave the post office?

    Anyway, the US Secret Service was set up in the 1870’s to combat counterfeiting of US currency and later was tasked with presidential protection. Those are its only responsibilities.

  2. American television shows are popular in many countries. A few tendentious websites might even make use of that popularity to denigrate America and the West.

    In some countries the term “Secret Service” could conjure images of James Bond who after all was “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”.
