quite how the public declaration of a woman’s ‘sluthood’ contributes to gender equality or liberation escapes me..
The intent is obviously ironic here. A policeman blamed the victim by suggesting that it was her ‘slut-like’ appearance that invited rape. These people are making the point that whatever a woman is dressed like, it could never excuse rape.
